Can’t take the heat? YOU were the one who said YOU were done with ME, but then couldn’t shut your mouth. OK, so you’re not done with me. You are fascinated by me and my wide ass. You must enjoy having your ass handed to you by stupid fucking bitches. Keep it coming, you’re amusing me, douchebag. Your credibility around here is in negative numbers as it is. All you can do is lie, contradict yourself, and spew insults. Your mama sure has a lot to be proud of.

And which word or phrase am I using my meaning of v. the generally accpepted meaning?

Now go eat your twelfth box of twinkies for the day. It’s OK that your husband won’t fuck you anymore, as long as you have that delicious creamy center.

You kiss your mother with that mouth? Anyone who disagrees with you and proves you wrong must be… fat? Wow, I think Zoe was right after all. You aren’t a tax attorney, you’re a 7th grade boy. And you’re cracking both me and my husband up. Keep it coming, maybe I’ll leave you a tip, denoting your value to society.

So, you don’t understand the difference between an insurance policy where everyone pays essentially the same thing, and a tax based on income? Do you not get that _someone_ is going to have to pay more to make up for all of those who cannot pay enough?

Have you noticed that the state of Indiana isn’t running the whole country? That some states do a much better job administering things than others, or than the feds do?

Then I do not believe that you worked in the insurance industry at all. It is highly illegal to have claims processors/examiners who are employed to only deny any and all claims that cross their desks. The government jumps all over any insurance company that denies _a_ claim incorrectly, much less have people that do it _routinely_.

> If you have a UHC that sort of thing _CAN NOT_ happen. It _can’t_ - because EVERY doctor under UHC is “in network”. Please look up the definition of _“universal”_.

Well, that isn’t the plan that is currently in Senate and I hope to God that we never get forced to participate in such a thing.

(You do realize that the word “universal” could be defining the fact that everyone is covered, and not that all doctors are forced to take all such insured patients?)

Even more that has little to do with what I posted, but I will point out that it is not necessary to rip the whole healthcare system apart in order to fix the few things that are wrong with it.

> Perhaps it is incomprehensible to you, but normal people don’t enjoy medical procedures at all, even when paid for by someone else. “Let’s spend money” is not a motivation for normal people when faced with a medical crisis.

Huh. Was it you or **tumbleddown** who was saying I was a masochist for not paying out of pocket for things that could make me more comfortable but cost more than I am willing to pay? Anyway…

“Normal people” don’t appear to consider money at all when faced with a medical crisis. Either they are frantic to get their own symptoms to stop, or frantic to save a loved one’s life or stop their pain.

> [@](#):

> Ah-hah! You ADMIT it can happen!!!

Again - I have never said that I think that all people who cannot afford insurance or end up in bankruptcy were irresponsible. The fact seems to be that nobody knows how many are or are not irresponsible and I think it is high time that we find out. If nothing else, look what happened recently when irresponsible people were allowed to buy and sell houses…

Even when it is a story about your husband, it’s still all about you. However, my point was that you responded to something I said about people in general with a rant about your husband, as if his (your) situation is universal. Or all important, whichever you prefer.

The rest of your post was still just more of the same old stupid thing.

RAND Rover and a few others think they are safe and snug in the bosom of the health companies. They have great coverage and great contracts. But meanwhile the companies are data mining their little computers to death. Every over the counter drug you buy with a credit card goes into your file, every doctors visit, every prescription drug. When you finally have a need and they may have to pay for care, they will do their best to deny you. They will claim a pre-existing condition or that you were dishonest when you signed up. They will try their best to find a way to screw you over.
If that is the kind of health system you like, good for you. But, I think it is a disgusting capitalistic aberration that should be dismantled.

I know I already conceded “victory” to you, but this is too fucking stupid of a statement to stand unchallenged in its awesome retardedness.

_Anything_ you buy for future use entails a degree of speculation as to its future value.

Real estate, T-bills, Krugerands - even that gallon of fucking milk you don’t finish today - the acquisition of _any_ of them involves an element of risk that their future value will be less than it is at present.

You are the most aggressively stupid entity I’ve yet encountered on these boards. And I remember **VCO3**.

> Since I wasn’t given the opportunity to go to college

Why didn’t you MAKE the opportunity for yourself? There are a number of ways to get assistance to go to college - one that might have appealed to you is “work/study” which helps you pay as you go (I did this to pay for part of my college). Or take out a loan - many view this as an investment in themselves and pay the borrowed money back.

My sister who is in very bad financial straits worked out a situation with her current college where they cover her tuition and fees and she teaches some undergraduate classes for a small salary. It’s just barely enough to live on, but in a couple years she’d have a master’s and (hopefully) be more employable.

> [@](#):
>
> can you tell me how much a month the government expects you to pay on those loans?

Few student loans come from the government - they are loans made through a bank. Unless it’s changed in the the 25 years since I paid mine off.

> [@](#):
>
> (I take it that the parents couldn’t be bothered to have a college fund)

If the parents are irresponsible why _shouldn’t_ we give a little help to the kids? Or should we just let the ignorance and poverty continue another generation? The _point_ of student loans is to enable people to go to college, then pay it back when they’re more educated and more productive. _Usually_ this works out pretty well for all concerned.

> [@](#):
>
> OK, this has to win some award for stupid. Are there any jobs out there (legal ones) where one can avoid paying taxes to the feds? I thought not.

Actually… yes. If you have a job that pays under a certain amount per year you are not \*required \*to file a tax return. It would have to be a pretty low income situation, and probably short term as well.

Stats show that most families in the US have little to no savings and high debt to income ratio, which means that they are just one problem away from disaster. What are they spending their money on that they have no savings and all this debt? _That_ is what I have been asking all along, and I have a feeling that the answer is something you all don’t want to look at too closely. All of this violence towards someone who asks questions has got to be a smoke screen for something.

Yes, I understand that some will pay more than others for the same service. You know, a handicapped person in this area rides the bus for half the price I do, even though hauling their ass around costs at least as much as hauling mine around does. For the really badly disabled there is, essentially, a door-to-door taxi service that on a per-ride basis costs far more than my bus or train fare, yet the pay mo more than half what I would for a bus ride, and in some cases nothing at all. And I don’t have a problem with that. At all.

Likewise, in any health coverage system some will pay in more than they take out, and some will take out more than they pay in. I don’t have a problem with that, as I find the alternatives morally intolerable.

It is highly illegal to have claims processors/examiners who are employed to only deny any and all claims that cross their desks. The government jumps all over any insurance company that denies _a_ claim incorrectly, much less have people that do it _routinely_.

No, you dumb stain on the sidewalk of society, they don’t deny ALL claims. They do whatever they can to find a _way_ to deny a claim. They can’t avoid all claims, but they certainly WILL skirt the narrow edge of what’s legal to find a way out of paying, and there are ample instances where they slide over the line.
