Lets see, so far your position shows that you ignore that many American families with pre-existing conditions on many occasions, have to go into bankruptcy thanks to the current system.
Just by taking that into account, it is impossible to say that we are smart when in other developed countries families are free from that possibility.
I was wrong, I admit it. I should have said “certain pre-existing conditions”–I’ll concede there may be some pre-existing conditions that will preclude any insurance whatsoever.
Right health insurance, of course. And no, a doctor won’t refuse them care – but the whole point of this argument, shithead, is that NOT EVERYONE IS ABLE TO BUY INSURANCE. And for those that can’t, they’re going broke or they can’t afford basic care. SOME of them are dying.
As for insurance being available for pre-existing conditions, I’d like a cite for that, please. :dubious:
(And being called “stupid as fuck” by you is pretty much a compliment)
You’re going to have to explain how UHC would not “provide for the general welfare of all people equally, regardless of their individual circumstances and individual decisions”, because I’m aftraid I’m not seeing it.
The Constitutional argument I find weak as well - all kinds of crazy shit in there originally that has been amended, either to eliminate bad ideas or establish new rights.
Crafter_Man doesn’t think public libraries are useful, either. Even with Universal Health Care, I’m afraid we wouldn’t be able to cure his problems.
He’s able to bend that amendment about “well regulated militias” to mean that he ought to be able to stockpile guns & ammo for his own personal use. Otherwise, he’s a Strict Constructionist!
Ah. Comprendo. But that is precisely what I am ranting about. Many people feel that it is ok to take money from me and my wife and children so that they can provide for themselves and their family. Well fuck them.
There is a way to get health insurance, pre-existing condition, or not. It’s called getting a job. I know that’s a foreign concept for you…but it’s true.
Why is that someone else’s problem? Healthcare is a service provided by another person. Why should they be forced to do it for no compensation? I know your answer: “Oh, they’ll get paid. We’ll just take the money from someone else by force.” That’s theft.
You have experience in that area? Come to think of it, you do look a lot like the provider in the 2 Girls 1 Cup video.
