# Anything really CAN happen. (In Caleefornia, anyway.)

Did a search in IMHO. Came up with a [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=107751) I started in April of 2002, asking if the idea of Willie Brown as governor of California was plausible. (Wanted to refer to this is a future-glimpse story I was writing.) A poster by the name of **panamajack** had this to say:

(BTW, I finished the story, but ended up not naming anyone as gov. Had I known, I might well have named Ah-nuhld.)
