Apocalyptic question

The problem is that a nuclear blast ejects a significant portion of the dust and mess of the blast into the stratosphere. It is not just a matter of it blowing around from the bomb site. Rather much is injected right into the weather (or higher.) There is not going to be much getting way from it. The further away the better, but you you want to be checking the weather forecasts. Maximum destruction (and we assume that is the purpose of the bombs here) is had with an air-burst say 10,000 feet or more up.

The best place would be in the other hemisphere, since air patterns don’t readily cross the Equator. Since most plausible targets are in the Northern Hemisphere, this means that you’d rather be in the South. Though getting there after the Apocalypse might be difficult, if you’re not there already.

So the guy who was scared his refrigerator plug might slip a bit from the outlet is now concerned about surviving a large scale nuclear war.

Seems we cured him pretty thoroughly of worrying about the very, very small stuff. But ISTM we might have gone a *wee *bit too far the other way.

LMAO, LSLGUY Yeah I am cured of my worries about that stuff, I halfway knew someone was going to try to make a connection between it, hahah. I really am just curious because I like apocalyptic movies, and believe it or not, I actually am not more scared of nuclear destruction than any other person (yet I did think a catastrophic fire would result from a plug being left halfway inserted into an outlet) I I just find the stuff fascinating and the game Fallout 4 stoked my interest.

Cheers!
