For the second time this week, I cracked open a fortune cookie and found **NO** fortune inside. These were from two separate restaurants. Guess my life’s gonna be really boring for a while? ---

Clearly those two fortune-less fortune cookies signify that **buddha\_david** has transcended all attachments and all desires. He has passed on from the realm of hopes and fears for the future. He has liberated himself from the cycle of suffering. ---

I got a fortune cookie without a fortune, once. The waiter said that was extra-special lucky! Probably since I hadn’t left a tip yet. ---

The really bizarre coincidence is that I’m currently playing a fantasy RPG in which everyone’s lives are bound by Destiny and Fate, except the main character, who can change people’s destinies and fortunes and is known as “The Fateless One.” It’s so weird when my life gets meta. ---

I recently tore open a little packet of black pepper at What-a-Burger, and there was no pepper inside. I demanded my money back, but without success. There’s just no quality control anymore. Probably Chinese pepper, too. ---
