Yeah well you’d love it a whole lot less if you were awakened in the night by the vicious itching of your overly-dried-out skin. If not even slathering lotion on by the handful helped. If the only thing which gave you relief was pushing antihistamines.

Two days on the same pair of underwear? For someone who doesn’t sweat or smell much, and keeps his undercarriage minty fresh? Big deal.

You know what my husband and I do, filthy animals that _we_ are? We go for a week without changing sheets or towels. Can you believe that? And sometimes we shower every other day, instead of every day. Wow, we’re complete pigs.

(I have dry, itchy skin too, **Quiddity**. I use only a washcloth and warm water to clean myself - no soap at all. And I smell just fine.)

In 2005 I broke my hip, on May 5. It wasn’t until August 27 that the doc said I could put any weight on that leg. Almost 4 months of kitchen sink “baths” (the shower’s upstairs). When I got in the shower that first time, the steam smelled like a high school locker room.
