So, does the fact that some people who hate abortion kill doctors and blow up clinics mean that everyone who protests against abortion hates women and doctors?
The smiling selfies the demonstrators in Dallas took with the police before the horror is proof enough that they did not hate cops.
BTW, the lunch counter sit-ins shut down establishments also. Horrible, right?
they weren’t taking selfies with the police in the video I posted.
BTW,the lunch counters were discriminating against black people. The sit in’s would have made money if they had, you know, SERVED THEM.
You don’t think they’re a good thing? They’ve become more prominent because of protests against police violence.
Some protesters are assholes. This doesn’t indict the whole movement, just like the racists among various conservative movements don’t indict the whole movement.
Yes, its racist, or the person saying it doesn’t get it.
No. Saying “ALL LIVES MATTER” is not racist. It’s ALL inclusive. ALL lives do matter. Except to racist groups such as the Only Black Lives Matter types.
All lives matter, even to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
All lives matter is technically true, but can irritate.
You keep referring to this organization, but it doesn’t appear to exist.
Saying All Lives Matter is racist
Sure they do. They’re loosely affiliated with the Democrat Party and the Messiah Obama.
I had a conversation about this with a coworker, and I came up with an analogy- I don’t know if I changed any minds, but I think it works.
Imagine your house has been broken into. You go to the police, but they say these things happen, and they’ll do their best, but they probably won’t find the burglars or get your stuff back. OK, that’s disappointing but reasonable.
You tell your neighbor what happened, and he says he’s been robbed, too. In fact, most people on the street have- but on other streets nearby, only one or two people have been robbed.
So you go back, and tell them about the problem on your street, and ask what they’re going to do about it. And the reply is “All streets matter”
How would you feel?
Well, look, if you explain that you’ll do your best because my street matters, or because all streets matter, then I’ll feel as good as possible; and if you tell me you’re not going to do much for me and mine, only to add that my street matters – or that all streets matter – then I’m going to feel worse.
If you’re truly on my side, then thanks – whether it’s because my street matters to you, or because all streets do. If you’re not, then I don’t want to hear either.
It only seems to irritate racists.
No, saying “All Lives Matter” is not racist. While some people have chosen to say it’s racist, they have not convinced the majority of the people to change the common-sense view that all lives do, in fact, matter. Black lives, blue lives, white lives, brown lives, red lives, yellow lives, etc. ALL LIVES MATTER, except to those who hold the view that only Black Lives Matter.
Long live the Bureau of Land Management (est. 1946)!!!
I though the analogy was clear- your concerns are being dismissed out of hand by implying that you want special privileges, when none are deserved, instead of acknowledging that a real problem exists and that the situation on your street is different than the other streets. Because that’s exactly what the “All lives matter” people are doing.
Says who? If my situation is bad, and you help as best you can instead of dismissing my concerns out of hand, the. I don’t much care whether it’s because you think my street matters or because all streets matter. And if you dismiss my concerns out of hand, then I likewise don’t care which slogan you mouth but don’t mean.
Thankfully, pretty much no one holds the view that only Black Lives Matter.
So you are saying that all lives matter? Isn’t that implication racist?
Regards,
Shodan
No, I don’t believe “all lives matter” – I don’t care about the lives of mosquitoes, or various parasitic eukaryotes, or tsetse flies and other disease vectors. There are many lives that don’t matter in the least to me.
I believe that all lives matter.
I also believe that saying that in a discussion of the disparate treatment of minorities in the American justice system is usually a dick move done by racists to shut down the dialog.
What about the lives of black flies?
