Apple Watches - Educate me, please

Not sure which Apple watch I have but I have not paid any fees for the apps that you are questing.

As a side not I probably would not be alive without my Apple watch. 1st time it went "For the last 10 minutes your heart rate has been below 40. I though what the keck that is funky. 10 minutes later it gave me the same message. Trip to emergency room. This moved up my appointment with my heart doctor up from 6 weeks away to the next week. 2 day after I had an ablations, I got the message again. Trip to Kaiser and they sent me to Emergency to be monitored until I could have surgery. I found out one thing, medical people freek out when you show up with a 40 heart rate. 1st thing they did was put a pad on the front of my chest and one on my back. They explained the pads were for when my heart stopped they could restart it faster. Not if but when. I have simplified the story to make it readable.

I owe my life to my Apple watch and believe senior citizens should have on at all times.

Also God was in the whole thing if my heart had stopped at home by the time the EMTs got to me it would have been too late.

Yeah, most of the 24-hour watch and clock designs I’d found were either clunky, ugly, or overly complicated. The Apple Watch is definitely capable of displaying one. There are a few “world chronometer”-type faces that include a 24-hour circle, but it’s buried in loads of other things. I wanted something simple with a bit of a Mid-Century Modern vibe.

So I got a Svalbard Noir AA22:

If Apple had something like that, I might have an Apple Watch now. I wonder how difficult it would be to make an Apple Watch face?

And this gives me the opportunity to pipe in with an amusing anecdote.

I was on a whale-watching boat, standing near a mom and her teen daughter. The mom spotted a whale in the distance and was trying to help the teen find it. They were both getting frustrated that the teen still could not see the whale. After a few minutes, mom exclaimed, “he’s right there, at 10 o’clock!”

The teen angrily shouted “I don’t know my o’clocks!!”

mmm

mmm

Snipe I’w with you on that .
My alarm was not so dire but still 139 bpm for 10 min when sitting prompted a visit to the heart docs.
Likely an electrical issue as EchoCardiogram and EKG ( electro) both showed normal for 77 year old out of shape.

I 've know about my Tachycardia for a few years but it was always associated with exertion …2 sets of stairs okay, 3 sets not.

Now it is happening when sitting …when my BPM should be 90 it’s 130+ - I feel nothing but the watch knows.

I concur all seniors should have similar.
The main reason I got the Apple Watch was both for fall alert and for crash alert on the mcycle.
I have found it immensely useful for other things. Real Dick Tracy stuff.

Make and receive phone calls, messages, email, alerts and real time tracking of weather, BPM, it’s a long list of marvels.
