# Applying for MA or PhD with debt

You’re also not going to impress the graduate school admissions people with that reason for not having your transcripts. “Yes, I want to go to your university, but I don’t have my transcripts because I didn’t pay my bills to the school I went to. But don’t worry, I’ll certainly pay my tuition THERE.”

My suggestion is to call the school that you owe money to and make arrangements to pay the bill.
