Every so often I run across a sentence or two here that I really like to read again two or three times, to savor the diction and flow. My favorite goes way back to a September 2006 post from @Slithy_Tove bemoaning the revival of zippered sweaters. It’s not original to me; I tried to find who first said it here, but all I found was me repeating it: “Too many people believe that the intensity of their feelings about something directly correlates with the TRUTH about that something.” ---
