Oh, come on…if you’re so thin-skinned that this ‘constant reminder’ is going to ruin the next 50 years of your life, then the Internet is no place for you.
You insulted someone (the fact that you meant it as a joke is immaterial).
You got called on it.
O/T I’ve had the odd warning and was even suspended a few years back (posted a ‘joke’ thread in The Pit) and Lynn wasn’t feeling merciful despite it being New Years Eve.
But I can’t find a record of them anywhere! Where do I begin looking?
We only started the automated Warning system in 2009. Before that we kept track of them with a manual system that didn’t place a record in your profile. So you won’t be able to see any warnings before that.
That doesn’t mean we don’t still have them, though.
Nah, despite our disagreements, the Staff here is pretty decent, considering how overworked and razzed on they are. It’s just that they never change their minds.
A patently false statement. There are many instances in which a warning has been reversed; I’ve done so myself a number of times. It’s just in this case there’s no reason to change our minds.
You’re now like the second or third person to ask who has been ignored, so I’m adding my voice to the chorus out of curiosity. What was the intended joke then, por favor?
You insist when you said that he has “an appropriate user name” that you weren’t trying to imply that he was a half wit?
Ok, what were you trying to imply?
That he was half man?
I believe you’ve been asked now three or four times so please have the courtesy and the integrity to answer or just admit you were trying to insult him and are angry about being warned for insulting him.
It’s on the main page of the User CP. Presumably it isn’t there if one hasn’t received a warning. (If you close it up, the header for it shows “0 points received”, which is a lot more soothing than “Never”.)
