# Approx. number of British deaths by V-1 and V-2 rocket attacks?

I thought this tactic was widespread, but according to the RAF pilots in this [excellent documentary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=a-CNdf2hp44#t=1919s), very few tipping incidents occurred, especially after a crashed V-1 revealed the Germans had re-engineered them to instantly explode if tipped. Seems many more could have been tipped if the first instance(s) hadn’t made the papers.
