a bunch of us told this guy once that fighter jets were scrambled from Edwards AFB to intercept a UFO spotted over downtown. He was so convinced he ran around telling everyoneā€¦oh the hilarity. BTW no-one liked him he was an egotistical know-it-all. ---

Get a whole bunch of people in on this. As soon as target person exits house, a whole bunch of you jump out of the bushes and wrap target in bubble wrap, duct taping it shut. Iā€™m just mad I fell for it. I thought it was going to be a list of April Foolā€™s Day jokes. Plus, I had gone back to doing something else, and I didnā€™t realize where it came from. ---

That siteā€™s annoying. If you havenā€™t clicked it yet, when you do, a ā€œcore meltdownā€ countdown begins. When it reaches 0:00, dozens upon dozens of windows open and close. I have no idea what was in them, but I have hot pink and black blotches still flashing in my brain. When I tried to close the window, it wouldnā€™t close. So tried closing it again, and againā€¦ and eventually, _all_ my browser windows closed, including those that were on the SDMB and other sites. Thanks bunches. :mad: Warn people when you link to sites like that, please. ---

A prank Iā€™ve wanted to do is to go around taking half of all the newspapers of the local paper out of all the vending machine things I can find. The next year Iā€™d take them all, and put back the ones I took the previous year. The year after that Iā€™d have a whole pile to switch out of every box. I didnā€™t do the necessary recon, though, so itā€™s not going to happen this year. ---

I have only been able use it once, so feel free to copy it. (I canā€™t do **any** pranks anymore because they always automatically know it was me.) Coat toilet seats with mayonnaise, but not so thick it will be evident. Okay, yā€™all are on your own. šŸ˜‰ Quasi ---

Audrey: What browser were you using on your Mac? I am on Netscape 4.77, and it all was harmless for me. Lotsa windows opened up, pop pop pop, then they all disappeared. And Iā€™m still here. ---

**yosemitebabe** , Iā€™m using IE5. Let me clarify that the applet itself didnā€™t crash IE; the windows started popping, I wanted it to stop, I clicked the close window square thingy (you know what I mean :)), and as it took a few seconds to close, I ended up closing all my open browser windows. I was looking up important info for my upcoming move, and Iā€™m on a dial-up connection. I donā€™t appreciate having to reload web pages because of sites like that one. Iā€™ve decided Iā€™ll probably live longer if I let annoyances like that go. ---

_speaking as staff member_ clayton\_e - On Netscape 6.2 on my Macintosh my browser just hung. On IE 5.5 on Windows 98 I couldnā€™t close all the windows. (Maybe I didnā€™t wait long enough.) There was insufficient warning in your thread to prepare people for that kind of behaviour. Please check with a staff member before posting a link of that kind again. _end of staff member speech_ ---

The problem with toothpaste in the Oreos is that, I probably would smell the ā€œminty freshā€ smell of the toothpaste before I took a bite. My lame joke this morning to my boyfriend was: ā€œHey did you hear that Noel Gallagher died in a car crash?
