Well, I guess I’ve made it as an artist. Someone walked into a cafe in the middle of the day (probably during the lunch hour) and pried three of my pieces off the wall. And I don’t know if their insurance will cover it… they were for sale, so technically they were my property. One of those took me 100 hours… grrr. On the up side, great excuse to make more art! ---

Ummm… never mind. Security camera showed frames on floor (looks like top one fell, took lower two with it)… and an employee dutifully picking them up. Manager called her at home and she said “Oh, yeah… I put those in the back store room behind some boxes to make sure they’d be safe.” ---

_Hugs_ to Lavender and Dustin the Wind. So. This morning was the appointment with the surgeon about my spine. After some back and forth as to whether I needed to be seen, it was decided that I should make a 30 minute drive and 10 minute walk in 20 minutes. I made it in 28. The hard part of seeing this doctor? He’s in at the cancer center. Yes, Gods, let’s add cancer to the friggin’ pile of crap my body has become. It was all for nothing. Meaning, the cysts on my spine are just that. And they’re going to do nothing. This means I can now officially be on The List for a body part. Hallelujah. ---

My wife got hit head on by an impaired driver today. She wasn’t even moving - she was stopped at a red light waiting to turn. Ms Special took a left turn way too fast and didn’t bother aiming for the correct lane and WHAM. Fortunately my wife was not injured. Ms Special’s boyfriend is a budding junior constitutional scholar. The police asked for his ID as he was involved in the incident by virtue of being a passenger in the car. He began recording the encounter on his iphone taunting “i gotchu on cameras, n\*\*\*a!” and belligerently refused to comply, then tried to flee the scene, then assaulted a police officer, then got picked up and slammed into a car. My car. That Ms Special just wrecked in the front. Now it also has an asshole sized dent in the side. It is kind of an old car, 2012, and we _have_ had it a while, nearly 6 months. Officer Dontgiveafuck decided he didn’t give a fuck about the scholar assaulting him and told him to just go. As the scholar waltzed off into the sunset I protested to Officer Dontgiveafuck about the asshole sized dent on my old beat up car with 4,000 miles on it. I asked him to detain the scholar so he could be held accountable for the damage caused to my car. Officer Dontgiveafuck gave me a little slip with instructions to submit a claim to the city and maybe they’ll reimburse the cost of the repair with my own tax dollars, if they feel like it. I left my wife to deal with the rest of it and drove home 3 blocks away. (I just came over to support her after she called and told me about the accident.) The scholar was walking down my street talking loudly on his phone and laughing about he just owned a cop. I swerved over the curb and ran over the scholar, parking my car with the drivers side rear tire on his head. Oddly, no brains leaked out. The police responded, but as the scholar had made clear that he was unwilling to identify himself to the police, officer Dontgiveafuck told me to just go. I made up that last paragraph. It made me feel a little better. ---

What the hell is with prices for ebooks? I don’t expect to get them free, but for fucks sake why should I have to pay the same price for an ebook that I’d pay for the hardback version? Then there is the prices of ebooks for old books. I wanted to get the Dresden Files books on my nook. The damn things cost more than if I went and bought the hardback version at most bookstores now. I saw Storm Front at a local dollar general for $4, and Amazon wants $10 for the ebook version! Then I thought I’d see if the Fear Street books were available, as I still like to read them from time to time and my copies are falling apart. Checked the book prices, $7 to $9 a piece. That’s more than I paid for the original books when they first hit shelves. ad. Guess I’ll give my money to the used book store and pick them up there for $1 or $2 each instead. ---

Goddamned Express Lanes at grocery stores. Sign says “15 items or less”. Should say; 15 items or less 5 coupons or less No Disputes Seriously, don’t walk up to the express lane with 18 items, 15 coupons, and then argue for 5 minutes about _7 motherfucking cents_ on a cake mix (Hint: The price you’re claiming was on a different brand, bitch!). Or that you’re not getting the sale price on the 2 items you bought when the sign (and ad) clearly says 5 for $N. Or that they should still honor that 2 month expired coupon because you “didn’t know it was expired”. :rolleyes: Find a different fucking hobby. One that doesn’t involve wasting everyone else’s time. ---
