Ha! You can have our weather, and be gone wit’cha. Seriously - we just got rid of that stuff. Sucks royally. On May 20th, the forecaster said that there were 20 days in May, and it’d rained 15 of them. And it was cold. Nasty. Yesterday was sunny and 72. It was beautiful. I hear we’ll get thunder tonight, tho. ---

Perfect thread. I’m going to Sweden in a few weeks, and I’ve got the forecasts for Stockholm and New Hampshire on my start page. Today’s _low_ for Stockholm is higher than today’s _high_ for New Hampshire. We’re expecting houseguests for Memorial Day weekend, including two young children who will have been subjected to a very long car drive. Just lovely. ---

Another bay area denizen checking in. Yep, we’re enjoying our first week of nice weather this spring. Actually, it was in the high 70’s and a little humid here last weekend (which I enjoy), and it’s in the 80’s now. I think a Memorial Day picnic might be in our forecast. ---

**tdn** , _must_ you blame the Bush administration for _everything_? It’s the oil and natural gas guys that are making out on this situation, not the Bu… Oh, right. Now is the time when I should start getting gas bills for $45, after a long winter of $300+ per month. Ain’t gonna happen. I’m guessing another $150 for May. I don’t remember as cold and dreary a May as this since 1982, if I recall correctly. Providence is no bucket o’cheer at its best, and this is _not_ its best. Garden plants that I started inside in March, expecting to plant them out by the first week in May, are puny and leggy for lack of sun. Folks in general are depressed and out of sorts. The corner package store has doubled its prices and is still doing a bang-up trade. Viagra is meaningless. I’m beginning to think of _Winnipeg_ as a place where dreams come true. The sun _will_ return to New England; it always does, like the Biblical prodigal son. And it will cause third-degree burns in mere seconds. I need a new bumper sticker: _“Welcome to The Tribulation – Have a Nice Day!”_ I’m thinking maybe Costa Rica… ---
