I should add that I’ve been practicing doing it with an Alan Arkin voice, and I think I’m getting pretty good, if I do say so myself. 😃 ---

It flopped, but I went to see it five times at the actual movieplex. (What? I have a Timothy Dalton thing, hush!) Plus it really was a fun fun movie! The Movie Gangster types helping to defeat the evil Nazis “Hey! I’m an American!” I also love the version of Begin the Beguine in it. ---

Yes, it was a lovely version, wasn’t it? I’ll have to poke around on imdb and see who the singer was. Might be worth looking into her stuff on iTunes. Hmmmm. ---

imdb didn’t have a list of songs information, but a quick search for _soundtrack, “The Rocketeer”_ pulled up a hit that shows the singer to be [Melora Hardin.](http://www.melora.com/about.html) She also sings “When Your Lover Has Gone.” And she’s listed in the cast as “South Seas Club singer.” ---

I \*\*loved \*\*this movie when it came out! I saw it several times and had all kinds of comics, books & toys. It’s been quite a while since I last saw it, now I really feel like seeing it again! ---

[/QUOTE] I have a few bits of memorabilia, including a cardboard stand-up my sister got me as a birthday present and the old Screamin’ vinyl kit. I’ve been slowly collecting model kits to build each vehicle in the movie, including the GeeBee and the '34 Ford truck. 😃 ---

Sorry, but my favorite quote from that movie is, “BIG gopher.”
