To **Blalron** : Jimmy Carter’s Peace Prize was _tainted_. The Nobel Committee announced beforehand that it was awarding the prize to Jimmy, not because of any merits on his part, but because it wanted to poke a stick in George W. Bush’s eye - to repudiate the Bush Doctrine. If Carter had had any integrity, he would have refused the prize under those terms. But he had lobbied for years to get himself a Peace Prize, and he was all too willing to grab it under _any_ terms, not matter how unseemly. Carter and Arafat were so close, one would have thought they were fuck-buddies. So, in that sense, I suppose Carter deserved a Nobel Peace Prize as much as Arafat did.
