I wanted to link in an old Straight Dope bit from one of the original books. The thread was re:body hair, and it’s need. I seemed to remember Unca Cecil covering this in one of the books.

I went to search, and typed in body hair. I got 4 hits- but none of them were very old. Oldest was 1999, even though I didn’t put a time limit on the search. How do I go and find the classics, or older archives- or what ever the properly used term is?

I would have been glad to send the right link into a posting, to let the OP know that this has been covered, but I couldn’t get to the books. Are the books even accessable here? Please help- I’ve read them enough that when someone OP’s a question and it was covered in the books, it kind of tickles my memory. I’d love to know how to access them.

Thank you so much,

Cartooniverse

The indexes of the first 4 books (including columns that are not online) can be reached from the [Straight Dope Question Index](http://www.straightdope.com/topics/) Are you thinking of the columns that explain why body hair appears to stop growing while scalp hair does not? See below
