For what it’s worth, Adam lives in my brother’s neighborhood, an upper middle class area near Mt. Davidson in San Francisco. A typical family house there would be worth over a million dollars, more if it has a view of the bay. There are no super mansions there, but if Adam owns his home outright, then he is in fact a millionaire. ---

It must be weird for Jamie. He hired Adam to work at M5 15 years ago. He was Adam’s boss for a long time. I’d speculate now that Adam works for the Discovery channel. That completely changes Jamie’s relationship with Adam. ---

I was going to say they have to pay San Francisco prices for everything, so they’re more likely broke. ---

Deadliest Catch is the highest rated show on Discovery , or at least it was. I wonder how much those guys get for TV. Also I wonder if only the captains are paid or the whole crew , I assume they all are paid. They show how much each crewmen gets for fishing at the end of each season. ---

I had to read this thread to find out who these two were. I’ve only seen parts of the show but since it’s been on for seven years, I’d say, yes without a doubt. Sam Raimi once said that “Xena” and “Hercules” made him so much money that he practically had to bury it in the backyard. A “Discovery” Channel show wouldn’t be that lucrative but is still valuable. ---

Without sounding glib, being a millionaire in San Fransisco is not really that outstanding. I mean yes it is a million dollars and I don’t have that, but if you think about it it isn’t that hard to get to a million dollars espcially if you own property. ---

If anyone is earning a million scoots on Mythbusters, it should be Kari Byron. That lady’s hawtness is what makes that show watchable. ---

That property alone must be worth several million dollars. That adds a a couple thousand each for crew members. The Time Bandit opened up a store on the spit last year on a boardwalk space Hilstrad was having trouble renting. I seems that old J Hilstrand is making a buck Just a bunch of crappy Time Bandit crap. He shows up and there are lines 50 deep to get a photo and let the drunk hold their children. It is kinda funny to watch. That guy would ahve never had problems with money even if he never crab fished. It is a real rich family. I was partying on the the Time Bandit last year in St Paul and those guys don’t make shit form the filming. There are many crab boats so they can just go onto the next one if they have to or if a Captain gets greedy. No big deal. As Far as Mythbusters they can not just jump to the next special effects studio. So they probably get paid much more. I bet Discover reimburses Jamie for all expenses and equipment and he gets to own it all. Plus salery. Adam may get as much as Jamiein salery but I bet he don’t own shit in the studio even partly. ---
