# Are all ADSL microfilters the same

Are all ADSL microfilters the same?

I’ve got to get one for my new wires-only connection and was wondering if -say- Monster Cables made them or some other quality/respected brand that it’d be any better than an anonymous one from Dixons etc.

I beleive the z-blocker is one of the best, but I this was many years ago when I did the research. The effect of a poor filter will be hearing the DSL noise on your phone, and will not increase speed of the connection AKAIK.
