You seem to express the belief that there’s no coming back from this decline, but in posting, you’re just keeping it alive. ---

Thank you. As far as the writers, we have numerous who are either no longer here or don’t post very much. There have been a bunch of “recap” threads over the years. [This is just one of them](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=508687); when you read some of the threads, you’ll bust a gut. You just don’t see stuff like that any more.
