Are CD's dead, yet?

Well, nobody’s got 'em in the Death Pool, so it doesn’t matter.

Spectacular! Thank you!

Here’s a YouTube excerpt from Toolbox Classics. Not just power tools; also the traditional “warped saw” and some percussion bits.

They’d have to separate out the digital-only sales from digital downloads of music you’ve purchased on CD (if you buy a CD from them, you automatically have the right to listen to it via their streaming service).

That said: I’ll still usually buy a CD vs just the digital download. I know that Amazon’s MP3 files don’t have DRM, so they can’t take it away on a whim like they can with ebooks, but I still like having the physical backup. The CDs get loaded into iTunes then stuffed into a chest in the depths of the basement.

yeah I think they use a MIDI device and motor controllers to operate the drive mechanisms directly, rather through the disk drive controller.

I still use CDs quite a bit admittedly, I rip them to my computer in mp3 format and use that the most , but I still use CDs. They’re not dead yet, if anything, cassettes and vinyls are.
