# Are Crowdfunding Pitches (Like a Gofundme Campaign) Allowed Here?

I notice you didn’t capitalize “mod loop.” So, if I may ask, what is the official name of your coffee klatch?

Hadn’t actually thought of a name. That’s just what it’s called.

Still, I encourage anyone interested in appealing to the membership for some form of crowdfunding thing to send a detailed message to one moderator or another. That’s how to get the ball rolling.

Probably Jackboots and Teacups, or something like that.

I’ll note that Kickstarter has higher listing hurdles than other crowdfunding websites. Something to keep in mind as the mods evaluate these proposals on a case by case basis. (Personally, I’d give quicker approval to Kickstarter proposals and more circumspection to other ones, though I’d give all of them reasonable consideration. Also boilerplate.)
