The STUPID Hummer drivers are those women who went out & got one (or more likely a Suburban) thinking that their "precious babies’ will be safer. Not true. You are _less safe_ in a SUV. [http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2005/03/15/012250.html](http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2005/03/15/012250.html) The overall Death rate in ‘very large’ SUV’s is 103, Luxury cars (can be cheaper than a Big SUV) are 37-47. Your run of the mill mid-size car (75) is safer than the hulking SUV. Minivans are pretty safe ( 42-47). Oddly, 2WD SUV appear more dangerous, which is exactly the type that “soccer moms” get. ---
