Very broadly speaking, there’s an association in the American mind between upper class British accents and intelligence. And Americans like to see the hero defeat a smart villain because it’s a lot more emotionally satisfying than seeing him overcome a thug with a brick. Since it was very reported that Trump did not even try to do much fund raising, there is not much conclusion to reach. ---

I deserve that. And then some. I did what I accused Justin Trudeau of doing- I seized on early reports that seemed to confirm my preferences. The people who died in Quebec were as innocent as anyone could have been. The killer was precisely the kind of bigoted white militant you assumed he’d be. I blew it big time. ---

If you think liberal Hollywood is bad when it comes to giving Muslims a bad image, you should turn on the news sometime. It’s far, far worse. And then there’s the documentaries… ---
