Not so much stereotype the British as archvillains, as that there seems to be an amazing amount of villains with British accents. You’ll have a bunch of Germans speaking among themselves in German and that scene is actually heard in received speech; later some of them are speaking in English and depending on the character they will have a ztronk German aksent, an American accent or a Brit that tries to be more posh than HMQEII (received speech, but overwrought).
Hillary spent twice as much as Trump — $1.2 billion — which indicates her supporters are much wealthier than Trump’s supporters. However they also had Hillary.
Very broadly speaking, there’s an association in the American mind between upper class British accents and intelligence. And Americans like to see the hero defeat a smart villain because it’s a lot more emotionally satisfying than seeing him overcome a thug with a brick. Hence: villains with British accents (even if they’re not British in the film).

the actual story of this movie, which is indeed stupid was about the exploitation by the bigots to engage in an ethnic cleansing type policy in response to the actions of one small group.

No, it indicates she raised more money. It says not one thing about whose supporters are wealthier. they might or might not. Since it was very reported that Trump did not even try to do much fund raising, there is not much conclusion to reach.

It’s true - the news often portrays acts of terrorism by Muslims as characteristic of all Muslims while downplaying acts of terrorism by members of other groups as being isolated acts unrelated to their group membership. And many so-called documentaries deliberately misrepresent the facts in order to push a specific political agenda.
