# Are people who haven't seen certain Major Films/TV shows "missing out"?

I’ve seen very few of the movies Everyone Else has Seen and I’m completely out of the loop with what most people these days deem Essential Televiewing. My colleagues probably think I live in a cave when I don’t know the names of currently famous tv/movie stars (I know the names because I’ve heard them mentioned but I certainly can’t put names to faces) but if I really thought I was missing out, I guess I could force myself to watch those shows.
