Aw, you guys, I was just a little kid watching Popeye, and I’ve never even thought such things, you awful people! The one thing I remember that quite put me out, was hearing Pappy in the Robin William’s pathetic big screen version strutting around snarling “Haul ass!” to everyone in sight. My ears _burned_, I tell ya! Ruined forever my mental image of the simple Popeye cartoons. Some things should remain safely locked up in childhood memories. ---
