# Are some posters removing their avatars? Or the usual board issues?

I just noticed that several posters who I’m pretty sure had avatars, no longer have them. Have people removed them or is it a board issue? I guess I’m asking “has anyone recently removed their avatar?”

Try force refreshing the page to get the most recent non-cached version and see if that changes things.

Avatars take up such a trivial amount of data that having them or not won’t make a difference.

I’ve also had one or more smilies not load, instead showing the text. I assume it is because the server timed out when trying to retrieve the image–likely because it was overloaded.

It seems that the poster with the best avatar has indeed removed it.  
I might steal it. Mine prevents me from posting in some of the threads. :smack:
