Wouldn’t that be “mums and mincemeat pie” instead? 😃

> A new Chief Scout for the UK was announced today . He is an ex children’s TV presenter and it is hoped that it might modernise the image of the Scouting movement. In the same news article it said that there are 500,000 UK members in the various Scout branches.

Just in case you were wondering he is more known as an “action man” than a puppets and silly jokes kind of childrens’ presenter:
“…known for exploits such as cleaning the face of Big Ben and running the first London Marathon in just over three hours.”

If you want tales of debauchery, I could tell you about the time my troop was rafting and we saw about 5 rafts full of topless collage girls pass us. 😃

We never had any luck with debauchery, though lots of fun times.

When I was in Rangers though, we did try to convince our leader to let us advance an invite to go camping to the Venturers…

Its more being silly rather than anything else! My local Brownie Pack/Guide Group, with which I’ve been involved was celebrating their 25th anniversary, and were having a party. Said party involved a massive game of pass the parcel. Anyway, it stopped on me (deliberately I think!), and I had to do the forfeit, which was to dance the Macarena with the Girl Guides. So, there I am, dressed in salwar kameez, dancing the Macarena with a bunch of 14/15 year olds. Scariest thing was, I knew how to do the dance better than they did. 😃
