# Are The Straight Dope articles being edited?

Did this article on there once was a man from Nantucket not contain the actual words at one time that are now banned? I’d swear it used the banned words, but maybe I just figured them out back then.

This is not about that article other than to know if articles are being changed. Chances are it’s my memory.

Columns are edited on occasion, but not this one. It appeared as you see in _More of the Straight Dope_, which was published in 1988.
