At least I’ve always been complimented on being an “old soul” of sorts. That and my ability to appear older to people makes life more fun. ---

Oh, how cynical and pessimistic I could be in response to this . . . but I won’t. Right now I’m trying to prepare myself for a wedding and reception after that. I already know a good number of the people who will be there . . . I just don’t like big gatherings of people. Too impersonal. Enjoying my birthday will come probably when I have something to celebrate. Not having been killed or killed myself yet ain’t much to celebrate . . . especially when sometimes the latter doesn’t seem a bad alternative.
