I’ll submit one of my own. When my children and I sing the Christmas song, “Do You Hear What I Hear”, it always goes like this:

Said the cat to the people everywhere
Do you see what I have?
Underneath my tail, everyone
Do you see what I have?

It’s pink, it’s pink
And it doesn’t stink
‘Cause I wash it with my-y tongue
Yes, I wash it with my tongue.

Speaking of the Simpsons all think about now when I hear “In gadda da vidda” is this Simpsons parodying it with the whole church singing “In the Garden of Eden”:

_I remember portions of a verse that had the teacher getting into a motorcycle wreck and “she was lying in the grass with a muffler up her ass and her tits were playing music on the spokes"_

**BobLibDem** , I bet you’re thinking of “She’ll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain” for the tune. I had by own horrid lyrics for that one (which really ought to be spoiler-blurred but darned if I can find square brackets on this phone):

He was driving on Ortega\* doing ninety
When he passed on the wrong side of the hill
They found him in the river
With the stick shift through his liver
And his face pressed like a waffle through the grill.

Had a coworker who could croon with the best of them, and in the midst of a late-night deadline push at work, he’d stick his head in my office and do a great Sinatra:

_Stranger in the night…_
_You’re weird in the daylight,_
_but you’re_
_stranger in the night…_

Know any golfers? Get them “Jake Trout and the Flounders”. Features Peter Jacobson, Payne Stewart (late), Mark Lye and actual professional musicians. Example is “Love the One You Whiff”. [love the one you’re with]. Complete with Glenn Frey from the Eagles singing and playing.

Also commentary from Arnold Palmer, John Daley, Lee Trevino and others.
Alice Cooper (big time amature golfer) does “I’m on Eighteen” [I’m Eighteen] along with a “hidden version” [those were once popular on albums] as a “Rap” version.

I can’t hear Annie’s Song without thinking “You came on my piiiiiillllloooow!”. An example of the Streisand Effect before the internet was invented. I would never have heard that lyric if it wasn’t for John Denver making such a fuss about it.

There is an exceedingly crass Australian comedian who calls himself Rodney Rude who sang “Like a well hung ploughboy” to the tune of “Like a Rhinestone Cowboy”. I had certain friends at college who sung it incessantly, which still causes the Rude version lyrics to come to mind whenever I hear the song.

Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” came on the radio yesterday, and I immediately thought of “Little Stevie Byner’s” version of it on _ **Bizarre** _. Producer Bob Einstein comes on stage and “stops” it deadpan after the first thirty seconds or so because “It’s offensive. John, you’re not even black. You’re a red-headed Irishman.”

I’ve looked everywhere for a clip of this, but can’t seem to find one. It is hilarious, especially the ending, where Bob and John leave the studio together and Byner is is drag.

Was he objecting to the lyric or the portrayal of him being strangled?

A coworker once told me (almost 20 years ago) that there was a dirty version of Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ la Vida Loca” on the Internet titled “I Am a Penis Stroker.” Sadly, as with “Little Stevie Byner,” I’ve never been able to find that clip. ☹

**NB:** That _ **Beverly Hillbillies** _ clip is _not_ a colorized B&W opening from the first four years of the show. As with _ **Gilligan’s Island** _, the original opening was reshot in 1966, the year all US TV networks switched to full-color broadcasting. (Reruns continued to be in B&W, though, until Turner introduced colorization in the '80s.)

Another thread reminded me…

Any time I hear the tune to the theme of Raiders of the Lost Ark, I think of this guy who parodies all of the various John Williams themes using lyrics based on different movies. So you have the RotLA theme with “Kiss a wookie, kick a droid”
