Found it! Blower is in the attic. Still took a minute to find the filter. There’s a slat you lift up and filter is inserted sideways. Never seen a setup like that. ---

It’s larger than the older conventional filters too, much thicker, and in our case measures 25" L x 25" W x 4" Thick. Each unit will have one and it’s of course a little easier to pull out and put back in when the unit isn’t running. That’s what I have as well. I have to clamber up into my attic to get at it though, so that’s why there are no grates or filter replacement places down in the actual inhabited part of the house. Looks like you found it though!
