There are some pictures of living statues in this article. I’ve seen them in the past month in Dublin, Ireland and in York, England:
There were a few of them along London’s South Bank last time I went there - along with other similar novelty acts including someone doing the invisible chair illusion, someone dressed as a black-and-white Charlie Chaplin, etc.
As lead by Fundamentally Oral Roberts.
(He was named after his mother was told she couldn’t write down her son’s name but was still a bit unclear on the concept.)
Well, the only time I was in France was 35 years ago. The Pompidou Center was new, and the plaza around it was filled with street performers. Several of them were mimes, and human statues.
So that proves it.
Philosophical Question: If a tree falls in the woods, and kills a mime… would anyone care?
