What gets me is how leading political figures like the Clintons and Obamas claim to know nothing about this. And further, will it hurt the close relationship the democrats have with Hollywood which has been one of its leading fundraisers. ---

You can’t really believe that something so insidious is restricted to “just a few bad apples”. Sexually predatory behaviour in Hollywood is as old as Hollywood itself. It’s an institution at this point. It’s like thinking that corrupt cops are “just a few bad apples” that aren’t indicative of a broader problem within the police force. ---

I’m not pro or con on James Franco, but most of the accusations against him that I’ve heard so far seem— if not horseshit— pretty damned weak. ---
