I always type because as becasue for some reason, and always type field as feild, and it bugs the hell out of me- does anyone else have this problem? Maybe it’ll make me feel better if others do as well. ---

Absolutly. Unfortunaetly, my own naem is one of them. Must be a lack of protien in my diet. OR mabye too much caffiene. ---

The correct misspelling of “because” is “becuase.” Everybody knows that! ---

When I type using my left hand, I habitually press the ctrl key instead of the shift key. ---

If the OP is about failure to learn to spell, we all have trouble with some words. But I think the question is whether it’s the typing that trips you up. I have the most trouble with “The/teh” which I would never misspell in real life. ---

I don’t have a problem spelling it, but I often type “actaully” instead of “actually”. No clue why. ---

I habitually stick the letter “n” at the end of some words that end in vowels. “Ontarion” is one that comes to mind now, and I know a guy with the last name of “Postma” who ends up becoming “Postman” most of the time. ---

I worked for a private college affiliated with the Disciples of Christ, which I invariably typed as the Discpiles of Christ. I now work (or wrok) for an ag school and have to proofread carefully to make sure I don’t type “diary” instead of “dairy.” ---

I type “because” wrong so often in instant messages that one of my friends refers to me in real life conversations as “Beca Sue.” My most consistent typos are “ot” for “to”, and irregular spacing (which often leads to sentences like “I’m goin got the grocery store.”) ---

What’s even more annoying is when I write something and it’s spelled correctly, but it’s the wrong word! And I’m not talking diary/dairy or live/life, I’m mean like competent for complacent. I mess up on homophones too of course, but those are at least understandable. And closer to on-topic: desperately only has one ‘d’. And incredible doesn’t have an ‘a’, nor does lightning have an ‘e’. ---

I get messed up on _occasion_. I always put in one to many s’s. For a long time, I stuck a “d” in the middle of \*refrigerator \*(hey, fridge is short for refrigerator, right?) It wasn’t until I read Stephen King’s \*The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet \*that I figured out how to spell in correctly. ---
