I have to wonder if all these threads are indeed a passive-aggressive way of asking exactly that, **ddsun**. Like if he continues to dismiss everyone’s suggestions, eventually someone here will step forward and say “I’ll take the bullet for the rest of humanity! What’s your phone number?” ---

I guess I have to ask, what would you bring to a friendship? You seem to think that someone should just be responsible for calling you up and…chatting to you. But about what topics? What are you even interested in? I have no idea, and I’ve read most of your threads. Besides, let’s say I bite the bullet and call you. Are you ever going to call me? Or is it a one way thing? We apparently can’t ever hang out or do stuff together, and honestly I know lots of people, myself included, who don’t like the phone. Like it or not, friendship is a two-way street. Sometimes it tilts one way or the other, to be sure, but one person just giving all the time is a recipe for disaster. And eventually, sooner or later, the friendship will end. ---

I like cars ok, but I am more interested in them as a work of art or beauty. It took Top Gear to realize I was a bit of a car geek. I just don’t care all that much about what goes on under the hood. I like their lines, and how cool they are, and how fast they can go, and stuff like that. I am so not into sports it’s kind of funny. Me and my SO were playing Trivial Pursuit the other day and I know maybe a dozen sports facts. It got to the point where everytime he asked me a sports question I started answering Derek Jeter! So: Where do each of these NFL teams play their home games - list the stadium. A: Derek Jeter! We had a good laugh about it. FTR, I know Derek Jeter plays (played?) for the Yankees. In _baseball_. I like books. I love book talk, and you can sit in your home and read books! I also love discussing Star Wars until everyone around me is sick of it and I LOVE movie mistakes, provided they are funny ones. That is, I don’t really care that the actors had a can of Coke in their hand one second and not the next, but something like how did the characters in Ocean’s 11 carry all of the sex fliers in there? I actually hate talking on the phone but I love long, lengthy emails. I will answer every point my friends make. You see how I did that? I listed some things I am into. So say if \*\*Living Well \*\*\* wanted to email me right now, he might have a list of things to talk about with me.
