Especially if you are not a Wisconsin fan? It’s received a lot of mainstream coverage and has completely blown up on Twitter. Basketball coach Bo Ryan was on Mike and Mike in the morning today and gave a horrible performance. It was mentioned in the March Madness thread. UW has apparently lifted the restriction on the non-B1G schools. I understood, though didn’t agree with, the ACC ban, but why Iowa State? That seemed unnecessary. ---

I don’t understand the ACC, other than Virginia due to their coach. (It’s been said that Uthoff had a list of 16 schools he was interested in talking with, and Wisconsin blocked four of them. So “all of the ACC” might not be true. ---

The spin now is they put the huge block on Uthoff to make him to appeal and thus force him to have to come to the basketball offices and talk to Bo about why he wanted to leave. Unfortunately for UW this came at a quiet period in sports news (Colin Cowherd thanked Bo for the giving him a show topic for the day) and became a bigger story than if it had happened over Masters weekend or after the NBA playoffs start up. ---

I only heard about it this morning while driving. I have almost no interest in it other than it shows, once again, how incredibly screwed up big-time college sports are.
