# Are you easily amused?

I usually consider myself a person of far ranging interests. I seek out the cream of the crop in music, movies, literature, etc. I like to think I have good taste in that sort of thing.
But the other day I realized that I garner far too much entertainment from watching the geckos on my balcony stalk and kill insects. The entire tableau of nature is played out during these instances.
Well, not really, but damn that’s entertainment.
So do you consider yourself easily amused? And if so, what pointless scenes amuse you to no end?

I am SO easily amused that it’s well…amusing…

I like watching light, playing through windows, or tree branches. Bubbles. Water reflections. I enjoy doing silly things like braiding my friend Jesus’s long hair. I enjoy watching **ARose** squirm underneath the merciless vengeance of my fingertips when I corner him. I love putting my hand out the window when I ride shotgun- I love the way the wind feels. I adore simple, childish things, because to me, those are the things that make me love live most, and easiest and clearest.

I am very easily amused. Once I saw a picture of Jefferson Davis in our History book, and I started to laugh like a maniac. I laugh at almost anythins sometimes.

The guy at the sausage stand across the food court amuses me. He’ll see me staring into space, and start waving his hands around in the air. It just makes me laugh. 4 hours later, I’ll remember it, and start laughing again.

Oh yeah, and me and Dave (Airman Doors)'s “fights” amuse me too. We’ll be talking online, and he’ll call me a brat, and I retaliate by calling him a punk. We’ll do this for awhile, eventually getting into parenthesis talk. Example:
me: punk! (I could do this all night)
dave: brat! (oh yeah?)
me: punk! ( yeah)
We carry on sub conversations, until eventually one of us either gives up or forgets to include the parenthesis, and loses. Pretty sad, actually…we do this on a regular basis…

ok here’s one for the easily amused…
take a yearbook and turn it upside down. look at the faces and the eyes for a minute or so and the eyes start to seem like they are right side up and -looking at you-! and it’s so weird because the rest of the face is upside down. they look like martian people!

Yeah I’m very easily amused. One time I was standing in front of the fridge just looking in at all the wonderful food. 10 minutes must have passed before I realized “hey shut the door moron!” Also I’ll just be walking along and start to look at something and everything else is completely oblivious to me. Yeah easily amused that’s it…

Searching For Truth—that’s exactly how I feel…riding shotgun with my hand out the window on a beautiful day with good tunes playing makes me most wonderfully content.
Little things amuse me…trial sizes…I giggle uncontrollably near the trial sizes in drug stores…it has become a problem. Minature versions of regular things…dwarf bunnies…matchbox cars…just tiny stuff in general.
Best of all…watching my roommates cat do anything…even sleep.

One of my favorites is to go through the telephone book and find people with weird or funny names, but I never call them and crank them because that would be bad.
I also like to lie on the floor and pretend that the floor is actually the ceiling and I am somehow clinging to the ceiling (that really is the floor) but… I might fall off any second! Oh, no! Instant vertigo!
Also, sometimes I sit on the sofa in the living room and pretend that the sofa is flying high up in the air, and the patterns on the rug are really trees and mountains from like 3,500 feet, and I might fall off the edge of the magic flying sofa if I’m not careful! Yahhhh!

The best thing about being easily amused is that you are seldom bored.
This sounds sort of related to **Creaky’s** thing about the ceiling – sometimes I imagine that the room is going to turn 90 degrees, so that the walls become the floor and ceiling, and then I think about how I would rearrange the furniture to make it fit the new way.
When I empty the hole-puncher, I like to see how many chads (Hey, I used chad in a sentence not about the election! All right!) I can stack in a single column.
When I’m waiting for something to come up on the computer, I try to position the mouse and see how close I am to the button I want when the page finally loads.
When a passenger in a car, I enjoy lining up an object, say the rearview mirror, with the broken lines on the highway, and then by slightly shifting my vision, make the object “weave” in and out of the broken lines. My entire family beats me when they see me do this.
In the **vast** realms of my fantasy life, I imagine that I am the owner of an NHL team, and plan in great detail all the things I would do. I once missed my stop on an Amtrak train because I was planning what outfit I would wear to each play-off game during our amazing crusade for the Stanley Cup.
Sleeping cat observation – count me in as another afficionado.

I am easily amused but I have a short attention span. Can’t decide whether that is a good or bad combo.
After I’ve had a big meal and my blood sugar is rising, I am _extremely_ easily amused. Mr. Cranky takes wicked advantage of this by telling me jokes he know I’ll later loathe myself for laughing at. But at the time, I’ll guffaw until I’m nearly choking.

I, also, am easily amused… what I find really hilarious is the phrase “local yokel.” I usually amused by things that are either bizarre, random, or unexpected.
Also, not too long ago, my brothers busted me making shadow puppets. ☹

I can’t leave the mouse alone while I’m waiting for a page to load, or on the phone… I have to make it dance around on the screen. Usually by bouncing it along like it’s galloping from one side of the screen to the other.
When I used to share an office, the other desk was _behind_ mine, and my co-worker would tease me mercilessly. Of course he was busy trying (and failing) to toss paper wads into my trashcan. Good times 😃
So yeah, I’m easily amused. [sub]can one really just watch a cat sleep? No spreading out his toes to make his claws stick out? No stripe tracing? No laying little bits of catnip under his nose to mess with his kitty dreams? You guys have more self control than I do[/sub]
