I’m famous if you live in my city. You probably wouldn’t recognize my name, but chances are good you’d recognize my face. I’ve been in a few local TV commercials and PSAs. I’ve had people recognize me on the street… “hey! aren’t you that little girl who played Goldilocks in that commercial?” “Hey! I know you! you’re the girl who drank soda at the party where everyone was drinking beer!” if you lived in my city and were Catholic, you would possibly also know my dad’s name. Someday, though, everyone will know my name and my face and probably how tall I am and how many children I have and what my favorite color is. I’ll just be that fantastic. ---

I have written a childrens book. Of course, it hasn’t been published yet, or in fact even sent out to publishers, but… well… There was an award named after me in the Cordova High School Journalism class. If you’ve ever won a Waldo Award, I would love to hear about it. I was pretty well known in High School, in fact. Oddly enough, since I was hated with a burning passion by everyone in Jr. High. I am friends with a group that is thanked in the liner notes for GURPS Character Builder 4.0 (I think it’s 4.0, the one that came out last year). Beyond that, I got nothing. So far. ---

I’m only famous by association - my brother is a cop and has gotten involved in some high-profile cases, one of which will air on A&E’s “Cold Case Files” this fall. When people realize who my brother is, suddenly I’m all popular. I keep telling him to write a book about all of it, and to somehow mention me. I want Sherilyn Fenn or Lauren Graham to play me in the movie. ---

If someone came in and said “I’m Heath Ledger,” would anyone believe it? I mean cuz…ParentalAdvisory claims to be Jared. Subway Jared. I don’t believe it, but would anyone really famous reveal it here? (Personally, I achieved brief notoriety in college with my campus radio show and a couple of letters to the editor in the school paper. Famous, I ain’t.) ---

I’ve designed several moderately well-known videogames but it’s rare for a fanboy to actually recognize my name. (Although it does occasionally happen. Last year my parents had a very nice dining experience when their waiter turned out to be a fan of mine.) ---

When I drove race cars I regularly had my name in the sports section of the newspaper, usually just below the local bowling league scores. One year I came into some money and decided to try the regional NASCAR circuit. About half way through the season a reporter and photographer from from the Tacoma New Tribune showed up at my house. Some pictures were taken and the kid reporter, who knew absolutely nothing about stock car racing tried to ask me some questions but it was quite apparent he was lost. He decided to just turn on a tape recorder and told me to talk about myself and anything racing. An hour and 3 tapes later they left and the following Saturday I was on the front of the sports page. The reporter admitted in the article he received an education in racing and actually wrote a pretty decent piece. I heard from a lot of folks I hadn’t seen in years and was even recognized in a Burger King by a stranger. Alas, fame was fleeting, a month later my name was back under the bowling league scores. ---

I was once on the front page of the local paper (small pic) and in the Local section (large pic) with a polydactyl kitten named Yogi. He was the star of the article - I didn’t even know I was in the pictures until the article came out. A local columnist had never seen a polydactyl and was fascinated by Yogi. Yogi had never seen a beard and was fascinated by the columnist’ beard. The article was quite funny and we received several offers to adopt Yogi, but he remained a clinic cat until a swinging door accident required his early retirement. He now resides in my cat suite with the other 7 cats who own me. I got quite a bit of voice recognition when I did radio spots for the local Humane Society. ---

I was in a ska-punk band that was based out of Gainesville, Florida in the late '90s. We toured around Florida and made it out as far as New Orleans, got on some concert bills with a few larger and better-known bands, and got a few songs released on compilation albums, but never got organized enough to release an CD of our own or really make a big name for ourselves. If anyone here knew us, I’d be stunned (and I’d send you a free CD with all the recordings we ever made). ---

I don’t even like my friends knowing I post here, just in case I write something foolish or embarassing. I can’t imagine having to worry about a million fans lurking to see what Jodie Foster thinks about stem cell research. I assumed that **Parental Advisory** was kidding about being Jared, but if he came back and insisted it was true, I would believe him. ---
