I just had mine changed this past week and Iā€™m happy with my decision. I used to go by r4nd0mnumb3rs which was cumbersome to type and I never really liked it since I just kind of made it up on the spot. I go by ā€˜Acid refluXā€™ on multiplayer games since it sounds like a l33t hax0r name but is actually just an irritating disorder that causes recurring heartburn. ---

No, the last G is cut off. I didnā€™t get any warning that my chosen name was too long when I picked it, otherwise I would have taken out the spaces. ---

I like mine now. I was LaurAnge for many years, and although I had grown up with it (I used it, or variants, from the age of 13-23) it didnā€™t say anything meaningful about me anymore. My current name says: female, mellifluous; and to those in the know it shows my interest in ancient myth. ---

Iā€™m not particularly thrilled with mine, but Iā€™ve been Astroboy14 so long and for so many different things online that it would feel _wrong_ somehow to change it nowā€¦ though if I did, I think Iā€™d go for something like **Some Random Jerkwad**. ---

Maybe I can work something out that has to do with actin. ---

I like my name. I wanted to use my handle from previous boards (Iblis) but it was taken so I had to use something else. And Iā€™d just read the Illuminatus Trilogy and really liked the idea of being in the Illuminati so there you go. I tried to use it as my handle on another couple of boards that Iā€™ve joined in the last six months but Illuminatus was gone and Illuminatiprimus was too long so Iā€™m something completely different there. I donā€™t like mine. Itā€™s more of a pnemonic login than a name that I picked. Then I started posting, and I feel stuck with it. It doesnā€™t mean anything. Didnā€™t everybody used to (how about that grammar?) have usernames with numbers, in general? Iā€™ve been thinking of changing it. I do, then this post will make less sense but it will be obvious because it wonā€™t have numbers anymore. ---

I like mine. It doesnā€™t really mean anything to anyone, itā€™s just a character name that my husband made up, and it cracked me up at the time. I still laugh at it sometimes. It sounds like the name of a damsel in some silly medieval parody. Now and then, though, people think Iā€™m really presenting myself as a frail individualā€¦how emo is that? I have to tell them itā€™s just a funny name. ---

I mean, it has a little of your history, your brithday, and it has a mysterious quality to it: ā€œOlives march forth!ā€ Sounds like youā€™re ready to take on the world! I like mine because as long as I use it, Iā€™ll remember one of the funnest moments Iā€™ve ever had at work. Besides, itā€™s sort of trans-generational. My name was a nickname my dad called me when I was little. I like it, but sometimes think of changing it because itā€™s such a part of my history that I feel exposed, as if I were using my real name. But I am boring and have no imagination and so I canā€™t think of another name that would suit me. ---
