Dont worry about it, I know about Syria situation(I think). I have seen the most gory videos of Syrian army first capturing and then brutally killing the rebels. Yet I am saying what I saying.

Never mind. I misread your statement as saying the US started wars in China and Egypt.
This. It’s not going to stop anyone from using chemical weapons in the future. It’s not going to help overthrow Assad, it’s not going to prevent the rebels, if they win, which Allah forbid, from killing large numbers of people. It’s just to show that Obama was serious about his “red line” remark.
It’s hard on the Syrians we are going to kill, but at least Obama shows what a tough guy he is.
At least he seems to have made fans of the French. Whoopie doopie - our President is Jerry Lewis.

Shodan
Man, I hate agreeing with you.
Of course, if he wasn’t trying to bomb Syria you’d be demanding we do so and calling him a weenie.
What would stop others from using chemical weapons in the future? Or is it futile to even attempt, can’t be done, don’t even try?
The same thing stopping them from using “regular” weapons. Nothing.
Gosh, I wonder why we have international treaties banning chemical weapons, seeing as they are just the same as “regular” weapons.
You asked a question and I answered it. Your response was to create a strawman.
There is no way to stop someone from using any kind of weapon short of conquest. So when You asked what would stop others from using chemical weapons in the future the only functional answer is nothing.
Yes, the only thing that matters at the end of the day is that might is right.
assad flexes his might with his sarin gas chemical weapon that kills a thousand plus random people in his own country.
obama flexes his might with his high tech cruise missiles that can target his kills on the other side of the world.
The whole world is watching what USA does. We have to show the world that our word is final.
No compromises, no concessions. You cross the red line. You feel the fire.
I don’t see any upside for us and only an outside chance of an upside for the people of Syria. This is something the UN and NATO should be addressing and without their support we should stay out.
Obama’s presidency has made me believe more than ever that the military industrial complex and the giant money interests are the ones truly running this country. They want the public to feel that a constant state of military involvement is inevitable.
Well, I’m new here but I find it surprising that there are so many who are in favor of this country getting itself into yet another fiasco. Until just now, I thought NObody was in favor of our interference except for Obama, Kerry and Pelosi. Even BO’s most fervent, blindly unthinking followers are turning against him on this one.
There are plenty of Republicans demanding action.
I think McCain was one of the first to push for it.
He comes from Naval aviation, I can understand that is his solution for most things.
I am a little torn, but definitely leaning towards “Hells no!”
It would be one thing if we were going to be joining international forces. But we have to stop pretending that we’re powerful enough and (more importantly) respected enough to act as the world’s police. We are neither.
I love the idea of us being valiant and brave and kicking the asses of every bastard in the world. If someone were gassing me to death, I’d sure want someone to save me. But it’s time we finally started acting like we’ve learned something from history class. We only “win” when we have allies working alongside us. We lose when we play the part of the white knight, butting in where no one wants us, where we don’t fit in.
This, but I’m more like 99.8% against it. However, we (along with every other developed nation) should be sending buttloads of humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees.
And that’s pretty goddamn offensive for IMHO.
We tried to feed the Somalians.
Perhaps we should fly C-130s over the place and dump out food.
I’d go for that.
lol. There are plenty of people I know who are for intervening in Syria or at least on the fence about it.
