[The Movies](http://www.themoviesgame.com/) is one of my most-wanted games of the year. It’s one of the games I check for updates constantly, and I spend a lot of my free time trying to decide what sort of movies I’ll want to make. I’m planning to make mostly 5-10 minute shorts, and once I know how the game works and what’s available, I’ll probably write lots of scripts in various genres. All my movies will be done in subtitles, because I don’t act and I don’t know any actors. Most of my movies will probably be comedies or have comedic elements. So what movies do you plan to make? ---

Heck yes I’m looking forward to it! It’s one of the reasons that went into my decision to drop City of Heroes: so I could devote more time to The Movies when it comes out. I was hooked on Hollywood Hijinx in the 90’s and made movies based on my friends lives. I’m already cooking up ideas in my head, and plan on translating a couple of short stories that have been running around in my head for the past few years. I know it’s mainly a Sim-type game, but if it balances it with a robust movie creator, I’ll never leave my computer again. Hopefully we can get a group of dopers excited about it and have a movie exchange. ---

When I was a kid, I used to make stop-motion movies with my parents’ camcorder. They weren’t very good or long, and I never had the patience to do them right, but I’ve always loved telling stories. My only worry is that I’ll be a terrible director. ---

Kind of. It was supposed to have been released in June of 2004 so my anticipation has waned some. But if it’s like it claims, it’s going to be a really good game. ---
