# Are You Passionate About Your Occupation?

Oh, yeah, I’m passionate about my job.

I hate my job with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. Every morning when I wake up I pray with a fervent passion that a meteorite will strike my company and obliterate every last stupid particle of it or, failing that, that I will be struck with leprosy and forced to retire to a colony from which there is no internet access, rendering telecommuting impossible. I spend each day of work passionately seething with anger and misery at my stupid job and the stupid people I have to talk to, and then at the end of the day I throw myself onto my bed and cry with an aching passion over my endless torment and utter waste of my life.

Anyone know of any good job openings in Denver? ☹

I really enjoy my full-time job and there are parts of it I’m very good at. My employer is a 24-karat good guy, I get to work with my younger brother, we get to do creative stuff and we’re minor local celebrities. My passion, however, is in teaching, and I get to do some of that at the local junior college. I’m hoping that when I finish my master’s degree I’ll be allowed to join the faculty at that college. It will be my life’s ambition finally achieved. Well, one of 'em, anyway.
