Itā€™s hard to say whether you think yourself ugly or notā€“unless youā€™re Elepahnt Man or the equivalentā€“and even that is superficial, really. I wasnā€™t uglyā€“see? [http://www.geocities.com/obnurseheather/Liberal.jpg](http://www.geocities.com/obnurseheather/Liberal.jpg) but now I donā€™t know. That pic (the only one I have online) is my graduation from uni one (BSN) in 1984. I am now 42 and have vitiligo. There is another thread about dealing with being ugly and I posted there about all this. I think the folks here are great, no matter what their physical attractiveness may or may not be. That is one of the beauties of the Internetā€“you get to meet the personality first (if the person is indeed truthful about ther personalityā€¦). Maybe Iā€™m taking a long time to say that ugly is as ugly does. ---

First, **amarinth** , I have seen your picture (in a thread about personal ads a while back) and you are very attractive. Second, no, I am not ugly. Iā€™m still not 100% happy with how I look, but still, a big improvement over when I was younger and totally miserable with my personal appearance. Sorry, no pics. ---

Looking very fine, Jayn. The dopers whoā€™ve posted pictures seem to range from good-looking to fiery hot. Overlyverbose comes particularly to mind. Yummy. Iā€™m pretty average, Iā€™d say. Cā€™monā€¦ anyone who said they were ugly, but then posted a pictureā€¦ you wouldnā€™t have posted one if you truly thought so! For myself, I suppose it depends on how Iā€™m feeling. At the moment, I donā€™t feel ugly. If I put on some lipstick, slapped on some eyeliner, styled my hair a little bit, I look pretty [good](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v128/wannabepunk/random/shorthair2001.jpg). But most of the time, I only do that when Iā€™m going out with my friends. When Iā€™m just relaxed, like when I go to school or work, I look pretty friggin [dorky](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v128/wannabepunk/random/dorkyglasses.jpg). Maybe I can pass off as cute, but dorky nonetheless. ---
