Am I ugly? Dunno. I don’t usually break cameras, and there is the occasional woman who seems to like looking at me for some reason, or at least doesn’t avert her eyes too often. These days, I think I’m average and I’m fine with that. At least I can stand to look at photos of myself (sorry, none handy online) and occasionally even like them. Before I went to Weight Watchers and lost 125 pounds, I was ugly. Not because I was big–I’ve seen lots of big folks who look great–but just because I personally didn’t look good as a fat person. I don’t photograph all that well in the first place (I can’t do the “smile on command” thing) and I always felt like every picture of me when I was big made me look like I’d jettisoned at least half my IQ points. I envied large folks who looked good and photographed well, but I was not one of 'em. Losing all the weight did wonders for my self esteem. Since I was never interested in being “sexy” (I’m a major (albeit happily married to a guy who claims _he_ thinks I’m sexy!) tomboy and tend toward androgynous clothes and haircuts) I was happy as a clam just to be able to look at myself in the mirror and like what I saw. BTW, I think every person so far who’s posted his or her photo on this thread and said they were ugly is deluded. You all look fine! 🙂 ---
