In reading the OP (or as much of it as I could handle), I immediately flashed to that scene in _Se7en_ when Morgan Freeman’s character is reading John Doe’s diary: "On the subway today, a man came up to me to start a conversation. He made small talk, a lonely man talking about the weather and other things. I tried to be pleasant and accommodating, but my head hurt from his banality. I almost didn’t notice it had happened, but I suddenly threw up all over him. He was not pleased, and I couldn’t stop laughing. " It had that same odd tone that shifted all over the place. ---

Since I come from a nuclear family that has: A) 50% more females than males, and; B) an average of 1.8 arms per person, can I keep at lleast some of my privilege? ---
