Army manuals with two cartoon girls

My mind hurts. I am trying to remember the names of two cartoon caractors that the U.S. Army used in the late '60’s early '70’s.

Salt and pepper team. Wearing OD’s that are not quite GI. Buxom.

That is all I remember. Any help Please.
Thank you.

I have a copy of The M16A1 Rifle Operation and Preventive Maintenance (DA Pam 750-30, 1 July 1969). There is one female character in this comic book, who is blonde, wears O.D. fatigues, and a beret. (The linked site has poor-quality B&W scans in .pdf format.)

Bonnie and Connie (with CSM Halfstaff) in PS Magazine? Gee, you got me thinking.

CSM HalfMAST.

Connie and Bonnie…mmm. Made my free time as a 92A for a small guard unit much more enjoyable.

Thank you kind people.

just what i was looking for.

Will Eisner: America’s Secret Weapon. Who’dathunkit.

Great breezy style this is written in. I doubt most youngsters today could make head or tail of it, though.
