I’m thinking of buying an Aroma brand rice cooker. [This one specifically](http://www.amazon.com/Aroma-20-Cup-Digital-Steamer-Stainless/dp/B004O828KE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1427337900&sr=8-6&keywords=aroma+rice+cooker). I’ve always had Zojirushi but I’m a bit strapped for cash these days. The reviews for the Aroma seem really good - anyone know any reason I shouldn’t buy one? ---

That looks like a slightly modified version of the one I have (which is ~4 years old) - mine doesn’t have the saute/simmer button, but I do have a ‘quick rice’ option. So far, mine has done everything I’ve asked of it. French onion soup, rice, stews, etc. Nothing fancy, it gets the job done with a minimum of fuss. Only complaint is that the ‘keep warm’ setting is a bit hotter than I’d like. * * * \<\< Insert witty sig line here. \>\> ---

I have one similar to the one in your link. It runs a bit hot for a small amount of rice, but it does the larger amounts quite well. Just be sure to follow the directions that come with it.
